A big hello to all the readers of Sad Classical Music .com
I want to announce the creation of an exciting new section of the site – Originals Showcase.
Originals Showcase will feature original pieces of sad classical music from across the web. That is, original pieces of sad classical music created and/or performed by contemporary musicians that are lesser known but whose music deserves to be shared with the world. I will continue to keep bringing you beautiful and masterful recitals of famous sad classical music pieces from across the ages, but will also be on the lookout for modern composers that may not be known across the world’s classical music circles but which have something I think is special to offer my readers.

There are a lot of talented people out there – and you are likely to be one of them! Share you skills with the rest of us.
Can you play an instrument? Do you have a video camera? Can you use Youtube? Can you play covers of any pieces that are sad, melancholy or emotional?
Well why not make a video of your performance, and send it to me for display on this site! Your piece may be featured in the ‘Reader’s Spot’ section of this site for other readers to view and comment on.
Simply click here to go to the contact page. A link to this contact form also appears in the menu at the very top of this site.

Hi All!
I have always been a lover of sad songs. Especially sad classical music. There is just something about a really emotional music passage played on a suite of strings that really moves me. I just can’t listen to Pop – unless there is something truly special in the music, something very emotional and raw, I just can’t get into it. This is why I started this site about sad classical music as I want the opportunity to share with others the great pieces I have heard, and also so that I can learn more about pieces of sad classical music that are currently unknown to me.
