The Godfather Movie Theme
Posted in 20th Century on 06. Mar, 2010
Today’s piece of sad classical music is the theme to the iconic, infamous, brilliant movie ‘The Godfather’. If you have never seen this movie, I suggest you stop what you are doing right now and do so. I mean it, stop reading. Like, right now. Go and see the movie! In fact see the whole series of movies. You will not regret it!
OK, so if you are still reading this I will assume you have seen the movie, or movies for that matter.
I have always loved the theme to the Godfather movie. I remember first hearing it when I was a child. My nan and pop had (well, actually they still have) a wind-up music box that played this theme. It is strange now I htink about it, as it is actually a porcelain ornament thing of a man who looks like a farmer leaning on a piano while smoking a pipe. I used to wind up a key in the back of it, then stare at this strange thing as it played this beautiful theme.
It wasn’t until many years later when I watched the first Godfather Movie did I make the connection and realise where the music had come from.
I really hope you enjoy today’s piece of sad classical music.

Honestly, I’am speechless. The Shawshank Redemption is terrific. I am quite young film fanatic, in point of fact, this movie is realised whenI was born, and thence I am to a greater extent accustomed films with unbelievable special effects, edge-of-your-seat action, et cetera. This film has no of that, and even, it really much . The way Frank Darabont applies the narration of Red to drive on the tale, the beauty of the music utilized (note the harmonica used merely before Red receiving the letter close to the end). The entire film, from starting to closing, from actions to sound, is a lighthouse of hope, judgement, and repurchase. The cast is perfect, Morgan Freeman(Red) in reality brings about a fresh feel to the film, and that is precisely what the film is, what a movie should be. Really recommended for each movie fan.
